True Love Valentine’s Day Card

Hello! Today I’m sharing another Valentine’s Day card that was one of the projects in my January class to go. It features the True Love Designer Series Paper.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Real Red cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut piece of the True Love DSP with the stripes at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card front.
  • Cut piece of Basic Black cardstock at 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. Run through your die cutting machine with the largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/2″. Cut a piece of an Adhesive Sheet the same size and adhere to cardstock. Using the “Love” die from the Always Dies, run through your die cutting machine. Adhere to bottom of the Basic Black rectangle.
  • Select one of the double flowers from a sheet of the True Love DSP. Color the flowers with Real Red light and dark Stampin’ Blends. Color leaves with Mossy Meadow light and dark Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut and adhere to Basic Black rectangle. Adhere several white Resin Hearts from the Snail Mail suite. Adhere Basic Black piece to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Stamp greeting with Real Red ink. You can use any of the greetings from the stamp sets in the Love You Always. I used the “Happy Heart Day” greeting from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set. Adhere to inside of card.

Always Valentine’s Day Card

Hello! Today I’m featuring a Valentine’s Day card that we did in my January class to go. It uses dies and an embossing folder and the only stamping is the greeting on the inside of the card. I’ve been seeing cards with a Basic Black, Basic White and Magenta Madness color combination that I think is very striking so here is what I came up with.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Cut piece of Basic Black cardstock at 4 1/2″ x 11″, score at 5 ½”, fold and crease with bone folder.  Cut piece of True Love Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card front.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. Run it through your die cutting and embossing machine with the Lace 3D embossing folder, centering the design so that it is even on both sides.  Adhere to a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.
  • Back a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock with part of an adhesive sheet that is cut to size and run through your die cutting & embossing machine with the Always die from the Always Die set.  Cut a 2 1/2″ square piece of Magenta Madness cardstock and back with a piece of adhesive sheet. Run it through the machine with the second largest scalloped heart from the Stitched Be Mine die set.  Adhere the heart to the embossed Basic White piece.  Adhere to the Magenta Madness cardstock.  Adhere the Always die cut to the piece and then adhere piece to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • You can use any greeting from your stamp sets for the inside greeting. I mixed sentiments from two different stamp sets. I used “In My Heart” from the Field of Flowers stamp set and the “Happy Valentine’s Day” greeting from the Forever Lovely stamp set, which is now retired. I lined both of them up on an acrylic block so I could stamp them both at the same time and stamped them with Magenta Madness ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Adhere to inside of card.

Little Ladybug – Two Versions

Hello and Happy Valentine’s Day! Today I have two adorable cards for you that feature the Little Ladybug stamp set. You can earn this stamp set for FREE with a $300 personal or workshop order during Sale-A-Bration!

Both cards use the same layout. I switched up the Designer Series Papers and colors, as well as the greetings. Here are the measurements for both cards.

  • Card base – 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • Mat for DSP – 4″ x 4″
  • DSP – 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Mat for stamped piece – 3 1/4″ x 4″
  • Whisper White piece for stamped image – 3″ x 3 7/8″

I made this card for a friend that has a birthday on Valentine’s Day. I used Real Red cardstock for the base, Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the mat and From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper.

For the image I stamped the flower with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the lower left corner and colored it with Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I used the “Hey Lady” greeting and for the inside of the card I stamped “Happy Birthday” which is also a greeting in this set. I stamped the ladybugs and colored them with Real Red and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I cut the ladybugs from dies in the Coordination Product Ladybugs Die set. These dies are available for purchase through March 31st. I adhered one of the ladybugs to the flower with liquid glue and the other was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow around the DSP piece with 1/8″ Real Red ribbon, which is now retired. You can substitute any ribbon or bakers twine. Adhere this piece to card base. Adhere stamped image to smaller mat and adhere to card front.

Everyone had fun making this version of the card at my stamping club last week! For this card, we used Poppy Parade for the card base, Basic Black for the DSP mat and Golden Honey Specialty Designer Paper that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with any $50 order.

The mat for the stamped image is Daffodil Delight cardstock. For this image, stamp the flower in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the lower left corner and color it in with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I used the “You’re so Sweet” greeting from the set. Stamp the ladybugs and color with Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.

I cut the ladybugs from dies in the Coordination Product Ladybugs Die set. I adhered one of the ladybugs to the flower with liquid glue and the other was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a bow around the DSP piece with Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon from the Mini Catalog. Adhere this piece to card base. Adhere stamped image to smaller mat and adhere to card front.

Stampin’ Up! has released several Coordination Products that are available for purchase now through March 31st. These products coordinate with items in the Sale-A-Bration brochure and the Mini Catalog and will be available while supplies last.

Amour

Hello! Today’s card features products from the Parisian Blossoms mega-suite and it is for Valentine’s Day. There are two bundles in the suite and I used both of them for this card. I especially love the Eiffel Tower images. Over the years, Stampin’ Up! has included images of the Eiffel Tower in other stamp sets, however, I think this is the best one of all – it is tall and elegant!

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base: Cut piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11,” score and fold in half.
  • Cut piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Using the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, run through your embossing machine. Adhere to card front.
  • Die cut the Eiffel Tower out of a piece of a Black Foil Sheet using the die from the Parisian Dies set. Adhere to card front. Die cut “Amour” out of a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the die from the same set. I had originally planned on using Cherry Cobbler but it didn’t show up as well as I thought it would as there didn’t seem to be enough contrast. In the end, I really like how the Flirty Flamingo looks! Adhere to the lower part of the tower. I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen for this.
  • Using the single flower image from the Forever Blossoms stamp set, stamp flowers with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Cherry Cobbler and Flirty Flamingo cardstock and cut out with the die from the Cherry Blossoms Die set. I like to use an odd number in groupings so decided on three flowers for each of the two groups. Arrange them on the card and glue them down with Multipurpose Glue so that you have some wiggle room to move them around until they are positioned to your liking.
  • I used a few gems from the From My Heart Faceted Gems in the From My Heart suite for a touch of bling.
  • For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamped the Valentine’s greeting from the Meant to Be stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink. This set was in the 2019 Occasions catalog and was carried over to the 2019-2020 Annual catalog. It is a lovely set and has a fantastic set of dies, Stitched Be Mine, that were also carried over. I used the Stamparatus to partially position the large blossom image from the Forever Blossoms stamp set and stamped it with the Tuxedo Black ink.

Hello and welcome to Kylie Bertucci’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for February! I’m part of a group of demonstrators from around the world that participate in Kylie’s program for building our businesses. Please be sure to click on the names in the list at the end of this post to hop around and view the beautiful cards posted by so many talented stampers.

Today I’m featuring another card using products from the gorgeous Parisian Blossoms Suite.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut piece of Pool Party cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score and fold in half.
  • Cut piece of paper from the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Cut piece of Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic Edge Ribbon at 5 3/4″ and adhere lengthwise to center of DSP. Adhere DSP to card base.
  • For the double mats, die cut piece of Petal Pink cardstock with the next-to-largest of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Cut next piece from the DSP with the script writing using the third largest die from the set. Adhere to larger label and adhere to center of card front.
  • Stamp the Eiffel Tower image from the Parisian Beauty stamp set with Sahara Sand ink and cut out with the coordinating Parisian Dies. Adhere to label piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp “Love” sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set with Soft Suede ink on scrap piece of Pool Party cardstock. Cut out with die from the Ornate Frames Dies. Add Champagne Rhinestones to both sides of the greeting and adhere to the tower.
  • For the inside of the card, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Partially stamp the cherry blossom image from the stamp in the Forever Blossoms stamp set with Petal Pink ink.
  • Stamp a greeting of your choice. I used the Happy Valentine’s Day greeting from the Meant to Be stamp set on page 76 in the annual catalog.
