Hello! Today’s card features products from the Magnolia Lane Suite in the 2019-2020 annual catalog. These products will be available starting on June 4th. I am such a sucker for floral designs and the minute I laid eyes on this suite I knew I had to have it! Today’s card uses the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, coordinating dies and the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. In the coming weeks I will be posting more cards using these products.
Here is how I made this card:
Card base – Petal Pink card stock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half.
Emboss front of card with the Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder. To get the curved cut at the bottom of the card use the die from the Magnolia Memory Dies. I wanted a nice amount of Designer Series Paper to show so instead of placing the die flush at the bottom of the card I moved it up. To make sure it stayed in place while I was running it through the Big Shot I used some washi tape to hold it.
Stamp large floral image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Shimmery White Card Stock. Watercolor the image using a blender pen and Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Blushing Bride and So Saffron inks. I colored each petal partially, leaving the bottoms of the petals white. Let piece dry and then die cut.
Stamp the Hello greeting with Mossy Meadow. I used one of the small dies from the new Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut out the greeting. Adhere floral image and greeting. I added a few pearls for a bit of bling.
For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I then cut a piece of the striped Designer Series Papers at 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and adhered to bottom of white card stock. Adhere piece to inside of card.
Hello! There are only 10 more days before the new 2019-2020 annual catalog goes live so now is your last chance to purchase Designer Series Papers from the current 2019-2019 catalog because all papers are being retired. It is very rare when Stampin’ Up! carries over DSPs. Here are some cards I’ve made this past year using my favorite papers.

I was recently asked by a business colleague to create a card for a wedding she will be attending in early June so I finally got a chance to use the beautiful Wonderful Romance stamp set from the Occasions catalog before it retires on June 3rd! The coordinating Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies have sold out and are no longer available.
This card was actually quite easy to put together. Here is how I made it.
Cut piece of Whisper White Thick Card Stock at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half.
Cut piece of Whisper White card stock at 4″x 5 1/4″ and emboss with the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This folder will be available in the new annual catalog. Attach to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut circle with the die in the Wonderful Flower Framelits Dies. Stamp greeting with Mint Macaron ink. I used a greeting from the Floral Phrases stamp set. Attach to card.
Stamp large floral image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Shimmery White card stock. Color the leaves and flowers with these Stampin’ Blends: Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, Pineapple Punch. I used dark and light blends for all except Pineapple Punch. Die cut image and attach to card front with multipurpose liquid glue.
Make double bow with white ribbon of your choice. I used 1/8″ Sheer Whisper White ribbon and attached to the flower stems with glue dot. This ribbon retired last year and I was so sorry to see it go because I think it is was one of the best white ribbons we ever had.
Before I made the final card I did a practice piece for the floral image to see how the blends would look together. I was so happy with how it looked that I did another one and used the practice piece to make a 10th wedding anniversary card for a dear friend and her husband.
I followed most of the steps listed above, adding these changes.
I used a greeting from the Your Perfect Day stamp set, which retired a few years ago. I added a white flower from the Frosted Flower Embellishments. These pretty embellishments will be available in the new annual catalog. I positioned the greeting and floral piece differently and also eliminated a bow for this card.
Hello! Today I have two adorable Mother’s Day cards featuring the Fable Friends stamp set, which will be carrying over to the 2019-2020 annual catalog. These cards were created by Beverly Tingom from Scottsdale, AZ. Bev was one of my first customers and although she moved away from Lancaster, PA several years ago, she remains a good customer and friend. Bev made these Z-fold cards for two of her step-daughters-in-law.
This card is for a step-daughter-in-law that has three children. In addition to the Fable Friends stamp set she also used the trees from the Beach Happy stamp set in the Occasions catalog. This set will be retiring on June 3rd. She colored the images with a variety of Stampin’ Write Markers and Stampin’ Blends. The mother duck and ducklings were all fussy-cut.
This card is for a step-daughter-in-law that has 10 children. The greeting was cut with one of the dies from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies set. The butterfly punch and DSP are retired products.
I am sure that both of these women will love receiving these cards! Thanks, Bev for allowing me to share your work with my readers. Wishing all the mothers out there a very Happy Mother’s Day!
Today I’m featuring the Needlepoint Nook product suite from the Occasions catalog. The stamps include lovely floral images and a wonderful variety of greetings and type fonts. When you look close up at the Designer Series Papers the floral images are actual embroidered pieces that have been photographed and turned into these papers. The reverse sides of the papers feature different embroidery stitches. As someone who loves to embroider I really appreciate the work that went into creating them!
Here is a card I made for Mother’s Day using the Needle & Thread stamp set, Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies and Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper.
Here are the steps to make the card:
Card base – Berry Burst card stock cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold in half
Cut piece of Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attach to card base
Cut piece of Blushing Bride card stock at 3″ x 4″ and using the large floral die run through the Big Shot to emboss the stitched floral image
Stamp the largest flower with Berry Burst ink and stamp two of the smaller flowers, one with Balmy Blue and one with Highland Heather ink. Stamp the large leaf image with Old Olive ink. Die cut all images by running through the Big Shot
Use the Well Said bundle from the Occasions catalog to die cut the word “happy” from Balmy Blue card stock and stamp the Mother’s Day words on small piece of Whisper White card stock with Balmy Blue ink. To adhere the word you can either attach a small piece of a multipurpose adhesive sheet to the Balmy Blue card stock before running through the Big Shot or you can use multipurpose liquid glue or the fine-tip glue pen to adhere. Trim Mother’s Day words and attach underneath the “happy” die cut.
Arrange die cut floral images and adhere to card using multipurpose liquid glue.
Attach piece of Whisper White card stock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ to inside of card and if desired, stamp image of large flower with Berry Burst ink at bottom of card.
Here is another card using the product suite. It was one of the make and take projects we made at Stampin’ Up’s OnStage event last November. The greeting, “sending you happiness and love” is a perfect sentiment for a Mother’s Day card.
All of the products in this suite will be retiring on June 3rd so if you would like to purchase any of them do not wait because availability is while supplies last! Visit my online store to purchase these products.
