Birthday Goodness

Today I’m featuring a yummy birthday card made with the Birthday Goodness stamp set pictured on page 62 in the 2019-2020 annual catalog. I love the images and type font in this set.

Purple Posy is my favorite of the five new InColors and I decided to use it as the main color for the card. One evening as I was searching for color combinations I came across some cards from a recent Color Fusers Blog Hop that featured Purple Posy, Seaside Spray and Soft Sea Foam and thought it was a soft, feminine color combination. While I love pastels, I tend to go a little brighter with my colors, so I decided to challenge myself and am pleased with how pretty the colors look together.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – Purple Posy cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half.
  • Cut another piece of Purple Posy cardstock at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. Emboss with the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Cut an 18″ piece of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and tie in a bow around embossed piece. Adhere to card base.
  • Cut piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″. Stamp image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Color image with Stampin’ Blends. I used Seaside Spray dark and light Blends for the roses, Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam dark and light for the macarons and dark Petal Pink for the cream filling. For the cake stand I used dark and light Smoky Slate.
  • Die cut image using the next-to- largest die in the Stitched Nested Label set. Using the largest die in the set cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam . Adhere together. Attach to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the greeting with Seaside Spray ink and punch out with the Classic Label punch. Adhere to image with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a few sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment for an extra-added touch.
  • Inside of card – Stamp a greeting from the set on piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ with Seaside Spray ink.

Very Versailles

Today’s card is the thank you card I sent to customers that placed orders with me this past June. It features the lovely Very Versailles stamp set pictured on page 113 in the 2019-2020 annual catalog. When I saw this in the catalog I knew immediately that I would purchase it because I really like the vintage look you can create with the various images included in the set. I also wanted to showcase one of the new InColors – Terracotta Tile.

Here is how I made the card :

  • Card base – Cut a piece of Soft Suede cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half.
  • Cut a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and adhere to card base. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 3 7/8″ x 5″.
  • Stamp full image of script writing at lower left corner and partial image of script writing at upper right corner on Very Vanilla piece with Terracotta Tile ink. Stamp partial leaf image at upper left corner and full image at lower right corner with Mossy Meadow ink. I used the handy-dandy Stamparatus to position the stamps because I was making multiple cards and needed for the images to be lined up correctly for each one.
  • Stamp the fancy frame image in Soft Suede ink and fussy cut. Stamp Thank You greeting in Terracotta Tile ink and punch out with the 1″ Circle Punch. Adhere to frame,
  • Cut a 4 1/2″ piece of Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon and adhere to stamped image, wrapping sides of ribbon to the back. Adhere stamped frame to the piece with either Snail Tape or Multipurpose Liquid Glue and if you prefer a raised image attach it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach art piece to card base.

There is only one week left to take advantage of the Bonus Days promotion. For every $50 you spend you will get a $5.00 coupon that you can redeem when you place orders in August.

One More Floral Essence Card

Today I’m sharing the last of a group of cards I recently made using products from the Perennial Essence Suite.

I CASEd this card here from Mary Deatherage. Here is how I made the card:

Card base – Flirty Flamingo cardstock cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold in half.

Cut piece of Designer Series Paper from the Perennial Essence DSP pack and adhere to card base.

Stamp large floral image with Flirty Flamingo ink, first stamping off and then stamping onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the greeting using Blackberry Bliss ink. Die cut with the next to largest Stitched Shape circle die.

Stamp four flower petals with Calypso Coral ink on a piece of Calypso Coral cardstsock. Punch out with the Perennial Flower Punch. Attach two of the petals together with a Mini Glue Dot to make each of the flowers. Attach flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals to card front along left side of the circle image. Add those adorable Perennial Essence Floral Centers to each flower for an extra pop of color.

Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside of card. Stamp one of the floral images from the set with Flirty Flamingo ink on the bottom corner and adhere to card.

I love how the color combination works on this card! I can’t get enough of this gorgeous impressionist looking paper so I know you will be seeing more cards from me using this paper in the future.

Floral Essence Butterfly Card

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful July 4th holiday weekend! I’m back to posting more regularly again after having to take a short break. I took a few days two weeks ago to visit my home town of New York City to visit with friends I haven’t seen in a number of years. When I arrived back home I unexpectedly got project work for my information consulting business from a new client, which was a very pleasant surprise! So, some of the cards I made for my June club and a private workshop were photographed but I never got to upload them until now. Over the next few days I will be sharing them with you.

Today I’m sharing one of several cards I made using the gorgeous Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. These papers look like impressionist paintings and could easily stand on their own with little embellishment. This card also features the butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Dies.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base: Cut piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold in half.
  • Cut piece of Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ . Cut piece of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon at 4 1/2″ and attach to the DSP, folding the ends in to the back of the paper. Attach piece to card base.
  • Use a die cutting machine to cut the butterfly from a piece of Purple Posy cardstock. Attach to center of card over the ribbon by dotting liquid glue around the butterfly.
  • Cut a strip of vellum cardstock at 1/2″ and stamp the greeting from the Floral Essence stamp set with Blackberry Bliss ink. Make sure the ink is dry before cutting flags at both ends of the strip. I’ve found that sometimes the ink smudges on the vellum if you touch it because it doesn’t always dry instantly. Attach to center of the butterfly.
  • For the inside of the card, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Cut a strip of the DSP at 1″ x 4″ and attach to bottom of white piece. Attach to inside of card.

When you place an order with me online and you spend between $50 and $149 please be sure to use this host code to receive a free gift from me. If your order is over $150 DO NOT use this code because you will automatically qualify for Stampin’ Rewards. If you place your order with me via email or phone you will still receive the gift.

Come Sail Away Memories & More

Hello on this beautiful sun-filled day here in Lancaster, PA! I was busy last week working on projects for my Product Premiere and stamping club and it was so much fun playing with my catalog pre-orders. I just received the first order I placed when the catalog went live and can’t wait to work on more new projects! I will be posting the projects here in the weeks to come. Today I’m sharing a quick and easy card I made using the Come Sail Away Memories Card Pack – no stamping necessary!

Here is how I made the card:

  • I used a Whisper White Note Card for the card base.
  • Select a piece of paper from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper pack, cut at 3 3/8″ x 4 7/8″ and adhere to card base.
  • Cut a piece of the sailboat DSP at 3″ x 4″. The card pack has a variety of overlays to choose from and I selected the sailboat, which I trimmed down to 3″ x 4″ and attached to the DSP using multipurpose liquid glue.
  • Tie a bow with the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand bakers twine and attach to sailboat piece with a glue dot.
  • There are two each of two different sticker sheets in the card pack. Select a greeting and accent piece and adhere to sailboat piece. I selected the “Happy Day” greeting and one of the compass images and attached it with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Attach the sailboat piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love using the Memories & More Card Packs. You can make a bunch of cards in no time at all, which makes them great for beginning crafters because you don’t even have to use stamps and ink! They are also great for casual and avid crafters that love to craft but are sometimes short on time. Stampin’ Up! sells an assorted package of Memories & More cards and envelopes designed specifically for the two sizes of the cards in the pack. I used the Stampin’ Up! Notecards because I was awaiting them in my most recent order, so give those a try if you have a package on hand.

Here is a short video about the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack.
