Gingham Gala Meets Daisy Delight

Hello! Today I’m featuring another treat box made with the Window Box Thinlits. It has been so dark and dreary for the last few weeks so I wanted to make something bright and cheerful to remind me of spring. What better than the Gingham Gala Designer Series Papers in Daffodil Delight, paired with the Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating Daisy Punch! I haven’t shown these products some love in a long time so it was fun working with them again.

Here is how I made the box.

  • Die cut two Window Box pieces from Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala paper and put box together using either Tear and Tape or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Stamp two of the daisy images in Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the Daisy Punch. Adhere the daisies together in the center with a Glue Dot. Using a bone folder, gently curl the petals up.
  • Stamp greeting in Lemon Lime Twist ink on Whisper White cardstock and die cut using the oval tag die from the Window Box Thinlits set. I used a greeting from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. Cut a piece of Old Olive Linen Thread and tie through the hole in the tag. Adhere to box. Stampin’ Up’s Linen Thread is one of my favorite threads because it is so versatile. The Old Olive thread is new in the Occasions Catalog and you are going to love it too!
  • Adhere daisies to top of box using a Stampin’ Dimensional in the center. Punch small Daffodil Delight circle with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and adhere to center of daisies. Adhere a Gold Faceted Gem to the circle.
  • Die cut two leaves from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. I used one of the leaf thinlits from the Beautiful Layers Thinlits set however you can use any leaf thinlit or punch that would fit nicely on the top of the box. Arrange leaves on top of box and adhere.

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Day Three

Saturday was the third and final day of OnStage and it was another fun-filled one! There were more product demonstrations, business training and demonstrator recognition sessions in the morning.  The highlight of the morning was Janet Wakeland demonstrating the new stamp set she got to design with Stampin’ Up! concept artists in recognition of hitting $1 million in sales earlier this year.  Stampin’ Up! has a tradition of inviting million dollar earners to visit the corporate office in Salt Lake city and while there they get to design a stamp set.  Janet’s set, which is in the new catalog, is named Artfully Aware.  She shared the images below with us.

During the three lunch events we got to take our picture with these props as a backdrop.  The lines were very long the first two days so I finally got around to doing it on Saturday.

These were the table decorations in the rooms where we had our lunches and did our Product SpotLight crafting. The plastic boxes stored all of the stamps and supplies we used on each of the two days that we did our make-and-takes.

The highlight of the afternoon was seeing Shelly Gardner, Co-Founder and Board Chair, and her daughter Sara Douglas, President, stamping together, as they have done for the last few years.  They work so well together and are also quite funny, so it is always a joy to watch them!

Of course, no day would be complete without Prize Patrol!  We were all given this super case that opens up into a gigantic tote bag!

We also received this new stamp set, which has really nice sentiments and a wonderful mixed font.

Wow!  My suitcase weighed 4 pounds more coming home from everything that Stampin’ Up! gave us LOL!!  I had such a great time at OnStage and would urge those of you that have contemplated going, to give it a try next year!

Even though the convention ended on Saturday, I was able to sneak in one more swap!  I had a 6am flight on Sunday and arrived at the airport before the check-in counters were open.  A number of women that had attended convention began arriving and as we waited we chatted away and someone on the line asked if anyone had swaps left – and I did – so we swapped! What a nice way to end my time in Orlando!

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Day Two

Hello again from warm and sunny Orlando!  OnStage Day Two was so much fun and excitement was in the air all day long.  There were several OnStage project demonstrations throughout the day, showcasing lots of items from the new Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. I know you will just love them!  We learned that as of this catalog, wood-mounted stamps will no longer be available.  The rubber stamps will now be known as cling stamps because they are guaranteed to stick like crazy on the clear blocks!  Stampin’ Up! will continue to sell photopolymer stamps.  More information about this change will be available soon.

We got to make two cards during our Product SpotLight crafting time.  This card uses products from the All My Love suite.

This card features products from the Happiness Blooms suite. The images on the stamps and designer series papers remind me of Marimeko designs, bold and bright.

Of course more goodies were handed out during Prize Patrol! Everyone received a package of Gingham Gala designer series paper and a lovely line art stamp set, Humming Along.

Along the way I met up with my fabulous team leader, Janet Wakeland, who this past year ranked #7 in the top 100 Global Leaders!

I also got to meet Kylie and Bruno Bertucci.  I am a big fan of Kylie, Australia’s top demonstrator.  She and Bruno hosted a meet-up and swap in the afternoon and it was exciting to see them in person and get to chat with them a bit!  Kylie is known for  #loveitchopit and #randomactsof kindness.

More to come with a recap of day three.  I will also be posting some of the swaps I received once I get things organized.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! Onstage Day One

Hello from Orlando, where I am attending Stampin’ Up! OnStage and celebrating SU’s 30th anniversary along with six thousand demonstrators from around the world!

We all received this beautiful box filled with a 30th anniversary commemorative tote bag.

Also inside the box were lined notepads, a pack of pens and a new stamp set, Amazing Life.

The highlight of the morning was getting a copy of the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs! Here is the front cover.

In the morning session two projects were featured and during  the lunch break we got a chance to make them.  They showcase two new product suites.  The card uses products from the Needlepoint Nook suite and the box uses products from the Classic Garage suite, which will be great for creating masculine cards.

This is what I got from Prize Patrol today – a pretty case to hold stamping tools and a new stamp set, Beauty Abounds.

Check here tomorrow for a recap of day two.  Thanks for stopping by!

Accented Blooms

Today I’m sharing a card I made using the lovely new Accented Blooms stamp set pictured on page 19 in the new catalog.  I used Blueberry Bushel, one of the 2018-2020 In Colors.  It is a bright blue so I paired it with a Daffodil Delight mat for the stamped image.  I used Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends to color the image.  For the hello greeting I stamped it with Blueberry  Bushel ink and punched it out with the Tailored Tag punch, which was carried over from the recently retired Occasions catalog and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This image could also be watercolored with pencils or an aquapainter for a soft look or by stamping the image with one of our fabulous colors instead of using black ink, simply leaving it as a line image without coloring it in. Cut the cardstock sized to fit the image and add a piece of coordinating designer paper and some ribbon or other embellishments for a different look.  You can also choose to use different greetings that would fit the Tailored Tag punch, making this a very versatile stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Pumpkin is Broadway Bound!

Stampin’ Up! is introducing something new this month.  They’ve designed a Paper Pumpkin kit to coordinate with a product suite!

The June Paper Pumpkin kit will coordinate with Broadway Bound, one of the product suites found on pages 68-69 in the new 2018-2019 annual catalog.  This is such a fun suite, filled with big, bold images, framelits dies and a bright, colorful set of designer series paper! The deadline to subscribe is June 10th.

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription kit. The projects vary from month-to-month, from cards to gift packaging, to home decor.  When you subscribe, on the 20th of each month a surprise package will be delivered to your door.  Each box contains everything you need to complete the project – a unique stamp set, ink spot, embellishments, and of course, the cardstock.  Included in your first kit is a clear acrylic block that you will continue to use with all future kits.  These kits are a great way to get a group of friends together for a fun evening of crafting!  For more information on how to subscribe, visit the Paper Pumpkin website.  If you would like to order any of the products in the Broadway Bound suite you can visit my online store.

Something Old Something New

Today I’m sharing cards I made with  two favorite floral stamp sets from the 2017-2018 annual and occasions catalogs.  I’m glad that both of these sets are carrying over to the new 2018-2019 annual catalog that goes live this Friday, June 1st! The something new is that I have used some of the awesome brand new colors that are part of the Color Revamp.

The first card includes products from the Petal Garden Suite which is being retired.  The Graceful Garden stamp set, Garden Trellis embossing folder and 1/8″ sheer ribbons will, however, be carried over into the new catalog.  The stamp set has two beautiful rose images that are perfect for coloring with watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Write Markers or Stampin’ Blends.  I stamped the large rose image with Jet Black StazOn ink onto Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored it with Lovely Lipstick, Petal Pink and Granny Apple inks using a blender pen.  I matted it onto a piece Petal Pink cardstock that I embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder.  I used three Berry Burst glitter enamel dots for a touch of bling.  For an added accent, I used the the Seasoned Layers Thinlits set  to cut a scalloped edge from a one inch strip of the Share What You Love designer paper.

Supplies used: Graceful Garden Stamp Set; Garden Trellis Embossing Folder;  Lovely Lipstick, Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pads; Jet Black StazOn Ink; Lovely Lipstick, Petal Pink, Shimmery White cardstock; Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper; Glitter Enamel Dots (retiring); Seasonal Layers Thinlits; Blender Pens; Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Big Shot.

This next card features products from the very popular Petal Palette Suite in the 2017-2018 Occasions catalog.  The Petal Palette stamp set and Petals & More Thinlits can be purchased as a bundle with a 10% discount until today, May 31st.  As of June 1st these products will be available in the new catalog but will no longer be sold as a bundle – each product can be purchased separately.  All other products in this suite will be retiring, including the Petal Passion designer series paper, one of my most favorite paper sets in all the years I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  For this card I used Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green cardstock and inks and they sure do pop against the black and white background paper.  I’m loving this color combination and know I will be using it on many future projects!  I used a pearlized doily against a background of the Highland Heather cardstock, which I cut out with one of the scalloped circle dies from the Layering Circle Framelits set.

Supplies used: Petal Palette Stamp Set; Petals & More Thinlits; Layering Circles Framelits; Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather cardstock; Petal Passion designer series paper (retiring); Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pads; Jet Black StazOn ink; Pearlized Doilies; Blender Pens; Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Fine Tip Glue Pen; Big Shot.

Today is the last day that you will be able to order any of the retired products from my online store.
