OnStage Swaps-1

I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I was so excited to be able to attend Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Orlando two weeks ago.  One of the yearly rituals at OnStage is swapping.  As promised earlier, here is the first of several posts with some of the swaps I received.  The first two are the swaps I made.  Both of these cards feature designer series paper.  Kylie Bertucci, Australia’s #1 Demonstrator coined this term, #LoveItChopIt as a way to encourage you use up all those packages of paper you are afraid to cut into.

These first two cards use products from the beautiful Share What You Love Suite, which was created specially to commemorate Stampin’ Up’s 30th anniversary.

These next two cards use Petal Promenade designer series paper and the sentiments are from the Love What you Do stamp set.  I used one of the dies from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies to create these gorgeous die cut flower overlays.

Here is the first group of some of the swaps and I’ve included the name of each card maker on the photos.

Watch for more swaps in the next few posts.

The Online Extravaganza runs through Wednesday, November 28.  This promotion includes only products in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.

The sale on paper and embellishments ends tonight.

All stamps and kits are on sale Sunday and Monday.

Tools and ink are on sale Tuesday and Wednesday.

Fun Folds with Petal Promenade Suite

Today I’m posting the last two cards we made in my fun folds class last week.

This card uses a gatefold  done in a landscape layout.

I cut a piece of Fresh Fig cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored it at 2 3/4″ and 8 3/4″ and folded the ends into the center along the score marks.  Next I cut four pieces of designer paper at 2 1/2″ x 4″.  I attached two pieces with the floral designs to the front flaps and attached the two pieces with the marbleized design to the inner flaps. I stamped a sentiment from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set with Fresh Fig ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with one of the circles from the Circles Layering Framelits set.  Next  I die cut a piece of Mellow Moss cardstock using the largest label from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies.  I cut a piece of the 1/4″ Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon, ran a strip of snail adhesive on the back of the ribbon and centered it on top of the label, centered the circle over the label and attached it.

To attach the label to the front of the card, I ran adhesive on one side of the label and attached it to the left flap, leaving the other side unattached so that the card will open!

I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4 ” x 5 1/4″, stamped leaves in Mellow Moss ink on the bottom corners and attached it to the center of the card.

The next and last card is a simple easel card.

I cut a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored it at  2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ and folded at both score marks.  I cut another piece of Blushing Bride cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attached it to the Blushing Bride piece.  Next I cut out one of the rectangular frames from the Petal Promenade designer paper and stamped the live, laugh, love greeting from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set with Fresh Fig ink and attached this to the Smoky Slate.

I then attached this piece to the front of the card, only adhering it to the bottom half, leaving the top free, which is what makes the tent fold when the card is opened.

I created the easel “stop” by die cutting a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock with one of the larger ovals from the Oval Layering Framelits Dies.  I stamped a flower in Blushing Bride ink and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Beautiful Layers Thinlits.  Next I cut two leaves in Mossy Meadow with one of the dies from the same set.  I arranged the leaves on the Smoky Slate oval, glued them down, attached the flower to the oval and then attached the oval to the inside of the card, making sure to position it so that the front of the card would stand up properly.

I really enjoyed trying out some of these fun folds, as did my customers!

Thanks for stopping by today.

It’s a Beautiful Day

Today I’m featuring the second of four cards we made in my class last week using   the Tropical Escape and Petal Promenade designer series papers.  This card uses one of the beautiful Petal Promenade papers.  I also used the floral die from the  Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies, which is part of the Garden Impressions Suite.

I cut a piece of Grapefruit Grove cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″  for the card base.  Next I cut a piece of the designer paper at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.  I die cut the floral image using a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and attached it to the designer paper using the fine-tip glue pen.  I then attached this to the card base.  Next I stamped the beautiful day greeting from the Love What You Do stamp set with Grapefruit Grove ink onto Whisper White cardstock. I also stamped one of the small floral images from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set  next to the greeting.

I cut the greeting using one of the circles from the Layering Circles Framelits and then cut a larger circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits with a piece of the Grapefruit Grove cardstock and attached them together and then attached it to the card.  I added a small Grapefruit Grove faceted dot to the small flower for a little touch of bling.  I cut a 1/2″ x 4″ strip of designer paper and attached it to the bottom of a 4″x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock for the inside of the card.
