Hello! Today’s card features products from the Magnolia Lane Suite in the 2019-2020 annual catalog. These products will be available starting on June 4th. I am such a sucker for floral designs and the minute I laid eyes on this suite I knew I had to have it! Today’s card uses the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, coordinating dies and the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. In the coming weeks I will be posting more cards using these products.
Here is how I made this card:
Card base – Petal Pink card stock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half.
- Emboss front of card with the Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder. To get the curved cut at the bottom of the card use the die from the Magnolia Memory Dies. I wanted a nice amount of Designer Series Paper to show so instead of placing the die flush at the bottom of the card I moved it up. To make sure it stayed in place while I was running it through the Big Shot I used some washi tape to hold it.
- Stamp large floral image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Shimmery White Card Stock. Watercolor the image using a blender pen and Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Blushing Bride and So Saffron inks. I colored each petal partially, leaving the bottoms of the petals white. Let piece dry and then die cut.
- Stamp the Hello greeting with Mossy Meadow. I used one of the small dies from the new Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut out the greeting. Adhere floral image and greeting. I added a few pearls for a bit of bling.
- For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I then cut a piece of the striped Designer Series Papers at 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and adhered to bottom of white card stock. Adhere piece to inside of card.
