Today I’m sharing two final cards I made for Halloween. Both cards use the Toil & Trouble designer series papers, stamps from Spooky Sweets and stamps from the September Paper Pumpkin kit. While the Cauldron Framelits Dies are made to coordinate with the designer paper, I chose not to purchase them because I knew I wouldn’t have much time to make many Halloween projects this year due to a hectic schedule. It was easy enough to hand-cut all of the images I used on both cards.
I love the frogs on this sheet of paper so decided to feature it. The card base is Lemon Lime Twist and the frog paper is mounted on a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock. I tied a piece of the sparkly Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around this piece. I die cut two ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits set, one in Whisper White and the other in Granny Apple Green. I used the Happy Halloween greeting from the Spooky Sweets stamp set. After cutting out the cauldron, cat and frog from the designer paper, I arranged them on the ovals and glued them down with Tombow multipurpose glue.
For this card I used Crush Curry cardstock for the base and cut a piece of designer series paper at 4″ x 3″ and attached it to the base. I cut two circles from the Layering Circles Framelits and on the white piece I stamped ‘spooky’ with one of the stamps that was included in the September Paper Pumpkin kit. I added a large black faceted dot for a bit of bling. I cut out three of the witches hats from the designer series paper and glued them down to complete the card.
I used this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as the inspiration for this layout.
I hope you have a fun-filled Halloween and that your trick-or-treat bags are filled to overflowing with lots of delicious sweet treats!
Thanks for stopping by today.
